Double Lewaro's current space downtown

Double Lewaro's current space downtown

A growing construction firm will invest about $400,000 for its own stand-alone headquarters on the edge of downtown Dayton.

Lewaro Construction Inc. plans to renovate the first floor of 229 Riverside Drive — a two-story, 8,000-square-foot brick building near the corner of Grand Avenue — and move by next summer. The first floor will more than double Lewaro's current space downtown and the second floor will provide additional space when needed.

"It gives us a place that solidifies our commitment to the city, our commitment to the business community and really just strengthens our brand," said Phillip Moore, CEO of Lewaro. "When you have a headquarters, a real headquarters, that speaks to the sustainability of your organization."

Lewaro purchased the Riverside Drive site in the spring because the company is bursting at the seams in the KeyBank building.

Moore, who became the sole owner of 18-employee general contractor/construction management firm in January, has been pushing to build a diverse body of work to show Lewaro can do anything in the construction industry.
